Before I started readin' this I thought "Oh, No..another piece of White River's maudlin idiocy.." Then I started readin' it and thought "hmm..this is pretty good stuff.." and was fixin' to completely re-asses my opinion of WR....guess I shoulda known better...good ol' Wendell Berry....not many people have expressed the joy and beauty of country life better than he has...

It's a lovely poem, Skip, thank you very much. You're forgiven, and you can turn up on that doorstep any time you feel like it. ;-)

Well to try and make it up to you poppy, I brought you a poem, and for anyone else who likes poetry, I think it goes with this pic..... THE PEACE OF WILD THINGS When despair for the world grows in me and I wake in the night at the least sound in fear of what my life and my childrens lives may be, I go and lie down where the wood drake rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds. I come into the peace of wild things who do not tax their lives with forethought of grief. I come to the presence of still water. And I feel above me the day-blind stars waiting with their light. For a time I rest in the grace of the world and am free. - Wendell Berry

You posted a picture of my hideaway and now all my friends and relatives are going to be converging at my door. How could you, Skip? I thought you were a friend!
