I now know that: "This picture was taken at the Singapore Art Museum on November 27, 2009. This is a display of books in a round chamber with mirror mounted at the top and bottom of the chamber, reflection created an abyss." Can't quite figure out how you saw into it if it had a mirror at each end though.

I like this photo but what is the story here? This is an intregiuing stack of books - who made it and why? I have gone to the above links which did not help at all. On the first one I could not find the pic and the second has the pic but no information. Also tried the Nat Geo site to no avail.
