Thanks you, Connie ! Yesterday, I had no time to read "Recently commented", so I did not read your Lesson 3. And now it is too late : I commented Picture Girl's gerberas with "to open my day". I did not know the word "awkward" ! Finally, I shall write no more "to open my day " :-) After a long cold winter, we have a wonderful weather. Violets, daisies, cuckoos - "coucous", in French - bloom lawns, hyacinths and daffodils start to fade, the first tulips open. The swallows have arrived and began their nest in the barn ... But - there is always a "but" - the grass grows back very quickly ( this last sentence = Google Translator.)

You could say: A beautiful way to start my (the) day,or What a nice way to start my(the) day. To say "to open my new day" is a bit awkward; 'start' is a better word ;-) How is life in the Loire these days? Let's do a café latte, or espresso sometimes ;-)

Many thanks, Gabrielle. I love flowers like these... gerberas, chrysanthemums, daisies, osteospermums (not in photo), etc. They are such wonderful flowers and last for a decent amount of time in a vase too... :)
