Lone Star used to advertise itself as the National Beer of Texas, which it may be. Frank Zappa once said "to be a real country you have to have a beer and an airline. It helps to have some kind of football team , or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer."
So, we have the beer, even if hit isn't all that great, and we have Southwest Airlines, which is actually a pretty good little carrier, and we've got a couple of football teams, so I guess we're a country. No nukes yet, but give us time . : )
