I was in Portugal for a month in the 1970s and I haven't spoken a word of it since then. But, I do remember Obriga para portugal e seus habitantes. I also remember the Portuguese names for some food.
When I was in Portugal, I met a lot of Brazilians on holidays there - there was a Soccer Cup tournament going on or some such. They were visiting the 'Mother Country' ;-) They were very nice and friendly. Being French speaking, I easily picked up a lot of Portuguese phrases.

Yes you are right, Jujuba. I just wanted to know where this lovely photo was taken. But if that makes you feel uncomfy telling me where, then I completely understand and will leave it at that... :)
Connie, I don´t mind at all telling you what country I´m from...I understood by PG´s question that she wanted to know a more specific location (like the city, e.g.).
I´m way down South from the States - I´m from Brazil, latina girl ;-) :P
Sorry jujuba - but for some reason I though you were American. I think it's very safe to say at least what country we live in. I say that I live in Vancouver, British Columbia. But, I understand you being careful; there are a lot of weirdos on the Net.
@ PG - I´m not comfortable telling the place here, if you don´t mind...maybe one day we can find a way of talking in private (if Pixdaus comes with a feature like that or something) ;-)
@ Connie - yes, somewhat.
And by the way, I´m not from the States...
