Different sites show it as an Angel Oak - a Southern live oak tree near Johns Island (not St...my mistake) - approximately 1500 years old. There seems to be a conservationist fight to protect that particular tree.
This particular photo has been posted three times, but worth it. I posted a different photo of that tree a couple of days ago. It's an Angel Oak with resurrection fern - St. John's Island, South Carolina.
