It's interesting that you say that because I don't think of autumn without thinking of my 'back to school' days. I liked the smell of books and still do.
I always found the boys young, silly, immature and boring ;-)
This one of those back to school pics. One of those that makes me think of the scent of textbooks, pencil shaving's,chalk dust and beautiful young lady's surrounding me in the classroom.
