Just make sure that you take photos of the right equipment. The Lunokhods won't do, for obvious reasons.

Exactly right. Our blue sky is caused by atmosphere, which the moon lacks and thus has a black sky. But as the incoming glare clearly indicates (not to mention the fact that there is light on the surface in general) it is daytime on the moon, and thus stars are not visible.

It's called "exposure time", you should read up on it. It's set to expose the very bright moon and astronaut, not the very dim stars.
