No problem. A lot of people are falling for this one. It looks so much like it SHOULD be a wave of ice, it's hard to believe that it isn't.

ok I was wrong and Im sorry.I checked snopes it says..real pictures inaccurate discription. such formations are not created by waves of water hitting frigid air and freezing in place their usually formed from ice that has compacted and uplifted by glaciation then shaped through exposure to the elements. I still like the photo's and I'll try to quit spreading myths thanks just sayin

Check the snopes page and stop spreading this myth-informative rumor. You are mistaken if you believe that this ice formed instantly from a wave.

I'm glad you liked the pic. The temperature in antartica is the coldest in decades and thats why the water froze the instant the wave broke through the ice. you can see the other pic's by clicking on my nick.

it's in the Antartic, the icy continent at the soth is covered by "permafrost" permanently frozen ground it has about 87% of the worlds ice. people visit there but theres no permanent residents because of the extreme weather. I posted three pics of it on here, because I thought it was amazing, but they voted them down for some odd reason
