Well ol' Chuck was very much alive at the time I saw him. He asked people to come on stage and do the twist while he sang. My friends dared me, so I did...and I was darn good at it. Sigh...those were the days.

OK, Connie, we're cool. BTW, I'm glad you're back. (I said that already, did I not?)

There was another comment with your name on it. I didn't check to see if it was the troll. That comment was a bit defensive and sarcastic. That comment has disappeared. Weird!!!

That just popped into my head reading the repartee between you and Ms P...doesn't really mean anything... it's from one of Chuck's songs called "It Wasn't Me" ..ol' Chuck died years ago, you know, but has been cryogenically preserved..his former agents thaw him out from time to time for concerts.. they charge his body with electricity and let him rock, then re-freeze him..

Now, connie, what is there in my comment that caused you to presume that I got my knickers in a knot? You can stand by what you said, I never said you should not. And I stand by what I said. End of story.

Patito, I told you that you gave too much detail re how to get rid of ahem...on camping trips. I'm sorry now, because now you don't give enough detail;-). My brain must be fried because I don't understand what that phrase really means. Wasn't Chuck Berry fantastic!! I saw him entertain once and it was awesome.

"I met a German girl in England who was goin' to school in France, said we danced in Mississippi at a Alpha Kappa dance" Chuck Berry

Now poppy don't get your knickers in a knot ;-). I am sure, just by the fact you live in Europe, you talk to a great deal more Europeans than I do. Just taking into account your neighbours, friends, relatives, and co-workers alone would add up. How many Europeans of different countries you come in contact with depends on where you live in Europe (small town - big city -a place where few tourists venture to etc). Also, do you discuss politics with them? I just referred to the latest European trip I did, not to the other trips I have made. I have relatives in Europe, who live in very touristy cities and who are in contact (personally and professionally) with Europeans of different countries and different backgrounds. They themselves do not think that the US was responsible for 911, but know people who do. I live in a city that has a great deal of immigrants and tourists. During my career, I have come in contact with a great many Europeans. So, I can safely say that I talk(ed) to a lot of Europeans of different countries and backgrounds. I do not consider that I was generalizing. I said that I was amazed as to how many, OF THE PEOPLE I SPOKE TO, who believe that. I stand by what I said.

I live in Europe, Connie, and I have NEVER heard one single European say that the Americans are responsible for nine eleven.
2008-12-16 13:46:38
I know this Russian girl who says many Russians believe that it's the Jews who are responsible for 911. Others (mostly Europeans) believe that it is the Americans themselves who are responsible. The CIA killed Kennedy and on and on and on.

That was intended as sarcasm, mon cher...you haven't been around here long enough to be familiar with our ol' friend Popolov, who believes the Second World War was started by a conspiracy of rich Jewish bankers, that Hitler was really not a bad guy but was just mis-understood, and that since Einstein was a Jew he couldn't have possibly come up with the theory of relativity but must have stolen it from someone else, presumably a non-Jew...read his comment on this page,in which he refers to Einstein as a plagarist..that's typical Popolov..actually, I enjoy having him around..he's good for comic relief, since almost no one here takes him seriously anymore..
2008-12-15 14:30:22
Patito, that was a racist remark.
2008-12-13 21:56:10
Right, Pops...what's really remarkable is that while ol' Einstein managed to fool the rest of the world's scientists and mathematicians, he didn't fool you...I'm really surprised, seeing as how you're such a genius, you're not teaching at Princeton like ol' Einstein did...must be a bunch of Jews runnin' the place, huh ?
2008-12-13 21:36:08
This is a brilliant photo. He/she has concluded that Einstein's equation E=mc² wasn't his, but was 'stolen' from other scientists. And considers, where does that leave the fuzzy-haired plagiarist?

You're giving the average "down voter" too much credit.
