I've been checking this site a couple of times a day for months.... this ranking page went up, and the very next day people started competing... uploading loads and loads of their own photos, which is boring.
Could you have some sort of thing that limits the number of postings someone can make in a day so you don't get people uploading their entire photo collections?
Alternatively, some sort of ignore, so we can block people who are doing this?

A: Pizdaus is a place where anyone can post his pictures, photos and others rate it. If it's cool it gets to the main page and more people can enjoy it. If it's not it gets burried but you still can post it to your blog or website using the link codes under each image.

One of my closest relative is Russian and says hasn't heard this name, which of course doesn't mean that it doesn't exist. I have searched for it, but I mostly found nicknames or not Russian names.(I didn't spend more than just a few seconds digging.)

But if its just an ok landscape or something like that, don't mark it down necessarily. Someone else out there could like it. I have seen some great pics (IMHO) that were marked off the site by going into someone's name tag. This is very disappointing.

Sometimes people here is really narrow-minded, in my opinion one of the best points of this website is the variety of the pics, if we try to impose our ideas of what we think that is the best kind of pics using the "-" button... we are reducing the charm of pizdaus.

Too bad the "wanna be" photo critics don't follow your "rules." I'm beginning to see a trend with the voting ... anything that looks like it may have come from an amateur, like a family pet or family member get minus votes. On the other hand the "staged" photos or attractive women get plus votes. I guess that's what happens when you give fools some measure of power, however small it may be. It's a turn off on this site. A better voting method would be plus only ... that way a photo with no votes or small number would "drop off" ... this would eliminate the minus-power thingy obviously some of your participants are feeding on.

I agree. I have some fairly good pics in comparison to some on the site and they are showing -9! There's no reason for it sometimes and like you say, if there are no negative votes, any with a zero would eventually drop off, showing only the genuine plus voted pics. I also think that there are far too many women photos in comparison to men. One more thing - the keywords for some pics are inappropriate even though the photo is good. Inappropriate keywords should be reported separately to the photo

I like the idea of only positive ratings. As for amateurs posting photos - I don't imagine professionals would post their photos here anyway. This is a great way to see if others respond to the same things that delight you. I've seen new photos go very quickly up to +8 and then down to a -rating. It's a shame to see those photos go away. I don't like the competition here.

As far as I can see those with top ratings here are posting not just their own work but images that have been copied from the Internet (some illegally or in breach of license requests and with no reference to the original photographer).
if Pixdaus has any future it needs to request users uploading an image confirm that he/she is also the rights-holder OR allows him/her to explicitly enter/state who the rightsholder is.

Hmm, it seems to me that if we are all going to give every image a positive rating, then there is no point in having a voting system is there? In the interests of the \\\"art\\\" of photography, how will one get better if their work is not judged. Personally I think it would be better to have the ability to critique a photo, thereby pointing out the aspects of their work, positive and/or negative. We won\\\'t ever get better at our craft, no matter what medium we use, if everyone pats us on the head like little first-graders and says, \\\"well done\\\". Honest, considerate critiquing can be done. It is really a shame that there is no way to do this, at least so far as I can tell.
