cruiser! What you are writing about is not evidence! Many of uf us also have pics which stared very badly and now are graded quite well. It's impossible to be the first if the others don't like your photos! I'm sure the community decides. :) You must have seen that more than 80% of Gotinha's pics are popular, probably because they are graet. I don't understand what your problem is. Somebody must be the first, the second, etc. :))

Yes! In the morming I foud a really disgusting photo with my name. Someone is trying to make harm to those who are the top users!!! (S)he puts up the same (duplicate or shocking) pics using other people's names. If you look at Tone's or Nightjar's last pics, you'll see what I am talking about. He even put a lot of poor photoswith Escoba's name in the morning or at night.

Love your Pictures! But must comment about that person who said you take some from photo net. It says there that they are to SHARE...are they only sharing with themselves at Photo Net? You'd think they'd be happy to SHARE with as many others as possible.

Let's face it, some photographers are a selfish lot. And this sure puts the kasbosh on SHARING.

photographers do not post their pictures to share as in take for yourself. Share as in only to look and enjoy. Downloading the pictures for yourself without permission and uploading them elsewhere is stealing no matter how you look at it.Rules are the same in every country in the world

The person posting these photos is NOT the photographer who created them. Look at the mouseover tags associated with each image. Every one gives the name of the actual phtographer, and not a single one of those people has given permission for his or her copyrighted image to be posted here by another person. This is known as THEFT--it is ILLEGAL to make use of another person's copyrighted work without that person's permission or even knowledge.

Tex, but that is absolutly true. The tags are given by me. The name of the actual photographer is given by me. None of the photos is mine. I always write down the name of the author and the tittle of the photograph.

Looks like we need to have this site shut down, tons of copyright infringement, "borrowing" or "Sharing" of copyrighted photos without express consent, some by very well known photographers.

The legal fund is being gathered, the owner of this site is getting sued, period.

What you are doing - posting other people's copyrighted work without their permission or knowledge - is not only tremendously impolite but also illegal. Not only is re-posting other people's work contrary to copyright law (American law, Canadian law, and international copyright laws), it's also rude. You cannot do this, so stop doing it, and take down everything that you've stolen from other photographers.

And furthermore, the idea that 'God gave us pictures' is absurd. God did not give you those pictures. No one did. Photographers - that is, talented photographers who work hard and spend time to make their own pictures - take photos, and then give them to who they want. That is the purpose of copyright - to prevent unauthorized use of the copyrighted material. What you are doing is exactly what is meant by 'unauthorized use'. Saying that 'God' gave you those photos to use however you want is complete bullshit. No one has given you anything - what you're doing is theft.

And finally, just a few words of warning: both you and Pixdaus could be named in a copyright infringement suit. That is, you could both be sued, and, judging by the reaction this has provoked, i wouldn't be at all surprised if you did get sued. So take this stuff down.

But... BUT BUT.... she isn't stealing anything. She states thes names of the photographers. She isn't stealing. She is selecting YOUR GOOD PHOTOS and spreading them.

By re-posting the images without permission, Gotinha is committing intellectual property theft. Plain and simple. Look it up. Furthermore, because they have advertisements on Gotinha's page, and are therefore profiting from said theft, the owners of Pixdaus are just as guilty and just as liable.

Gothina, I'm an amateur photographer and I do not earn money from my hobby. What you do is copyright infringement and for the owners of the pictures this is frustrating to hell. It doesn't matter that you only share the pictures and don't earn money with them, the owners of these pictures surely don't want you to share their work and get credits for sharing. What's the point in taking pictures from across the web and posting them here? Get points on pixdaus? Ask permission for sharing first, then post here with all the credits. If you would only have an idea what it means to take a good picture as a professional photographer, portofolio grade, you would not do this anymore. The rate is usually 1:500 down to 1:1000, one picture out of one thousand is worth printing and selling. That means simply that with an entry level DSLR camera statistically you can take only 50-100 pictures before the shutter mechanism brakes (50,000 exposures rating). So, do something with your life, start eventually taking pictures, spend time in Photoshop to stitch pictures for a breathtaking panorama, or mix bracketed pictures for an HDR picture for which you haven't had the gradient filters with you, learn what it means to push the button before getting credits for posting other people's work.

And for people that encourage this behavior and congratulate people like Gothina to continue their \"work\", i can only say: you are pathetic. Congratulating a person for \"having and eye\" for portofolio pictures taken by professionals is moronic at least. Taking copyrighted work from the owner without permission is infringement (even without financial gain involved), dear Liquidsky copyright and trademark attorney. Read the books again.
